There are now 3 levels. Not approved, approved, verified. Before we freak out – this is to help the ones that ppl are trying to imitate the most. That being said – if collections don’t have a blue check but dont have a warning sign – they are probably still legit. this happened today 2/23 so still developing. OKAY so last I wrote I was 10000% rarible. But once I found out I was incorrect about not getting secondary sales with gasless minting on opensea, a few mishaps, I CANNOT DESCRIBE TO YOU HOW AMAZING GASLESS MINTING IS.
but I am going to try anyways. and once again I am documenting my journey, as well as trying to answer the questions I have answered 5000x so sorry if this guide is centered from my perspective.
MISTAKES I MADE
So with Rarible I uploaded a 1/1 and somehow it got uploaded 1X with a gas fee I did not set… and another not for sale… i’m not sure really what happened there. But I did pay double gas and BC of integrity, I will not sell the second. If you cancel a transaction sometimes it does not clear from metamask… so be careful… im thinking maybe I did that….
Also – even tho I had it as a list price – the person was only able to bid? ( once again not on rarible… who knows why this happened…)
And if we remember – ACCEPTING BIDS COSTS GAS – SO I spent way more ETH with my accidental double minting (apparently if you click 2x or refresh or weird things it can happen? Gonna say this is not on rarible and on me.
THAT BEING SAID – I submitted a rarible help ticket. and through the official discord and link I got a telegram DM from their community guy. Same name. Same photo as the group chat…. telling me it was a bug and to send eth to fix it and they would send it back. The issue is, they were asking for more ETH than I had, I said this (still skeptical) and they changed the PRICE.
SUPER RED FLAG.
Apparently this is noted at the top of their telegram group – but for anyone else who may have this issue… ANY DM FROM RARIBLE COMMUNITY MANAGER ON TELEGRAM DIRECTLY IS PROB NOT HIM
(I guess this is what happens in an industry of hackers LOL)
Anyways, since that situation sketched me out, I decided to mint on Opensea. Ironically about 30 min after I made my first sale I joined the Opensea 24 hour room… and was the only person who lasted 24 hours…
Since I now know that I was not the first person to mint a clubhouse screenshot, I put one up, for the funds to go to people who had never bought crypto before, as the biggest barrier is getting ETH into a wallet (which is $ right now). ( will update with links to all the stores –> have been helping people 1 by 1 and with fluctuating gas + trying to make the funds go as far as possible…) a HUGE thanks to everyone involved.
With opensea once you list your first Peice you never have to pay again. I am pretty sure with gas I LOST ETH with my first 8 rarible sales. (beginner issues)
THE ONLY ACCEPTION TO THAT IS WHEN ACCEPTING A BID. IF A BID IS 1ETH OR BELOW YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY GAS TO ACCEPT IT.
ALSO – for myself, 3lau and a few others ….when minting we had a gas charge come up. I paid. then it failed. then I paid again. then I learned this is a bug and if that every happens CLEAR YOUR CACHE 🙂
With Opensea, you can create a peice, and edit it until you put it on sale (bc it is not minted onto the blockchain until it is sold) – once you put it for sale if you want to take it down, you do have to pay gas to cancel. Also – you can update even when it is minted. THIS IS HUGE, and what I wanted to do but also be careful!!!!
another note, you cannot do editions yet with gasless minting, but apparently coming soon!
SOME OPEN SEA QUESTIONS THAT I DID NOT COVER THE FIRST TIME

- WETH —> wrapped ETH but WTF does this mean… gonna say its like the lube to make this shit work between chains –> Auctions Run on WETH (more info here).
The good news is –> you can convert WETH to ETH or vice versa super easily on open sea
then hit convert WETH
Then this will pop up, you authorize with metamask, etc
SECONDARY SALES
this is paid once every two weeks. You get the comission % from the OG sale in a secondary sale email (for those who saw my tweet). SO I thought I made a secondary sale but I hadn’t and couldn’f find it. THAT is why –> none yet but that is cool –> im soooo excited to roll out all my work… and I still also want to figure out more on the tech side
ZORA
I also minted on ZORA. I have yet to bid on anything bc until this weekend, I did not have the funds. The offer comes in USD which is cool bc you know what it means… or scary im not sure. It is invite only but you get to invite friends, so I like that part. Its a protocol – theres no way to follow people or like / comment but they are new
shoutout SKYWATER for inviting me. Her work IS SO AMAZING AND I CANNOT WAIT TO GET ONE. ALSO SHE HAS MY DISCO STICK WHICH IS MY FAVE
